Back in 1997, composer Stefania de Kenessey, launched the Derriere Guard movement, to return to long-forgotten, long-abandoned ideas rooted in history and tradition since dissonant music, which had once been revolutionary, eventually evolved into the status quo. But in this video recorded by Molly Sheridan 20 years later, de Kenessey tells Frank J. Oteri that we "don’t need a 20th Derriere Guard Festival" because "we’ve accomplished what we wanted to do" since there's now "a multiplicity of voices and a multiplicity of styles
