Bobby Valentin; A Star in Fania since 1966. After growing up in Puerto Rico until his teenage years, Bobby Valentin’s family moved to New York, where Bobby continued studying music. He had learned to play the guitar from his father, but picked up the trumpet at New York. It was as a trumpet player that he worked with greats like Tito Rodriguez, Willie Rosario, and others. In 1965, the then 23 year-old formed his own band, and began recording with brand new Fania Records label. If Marvin continues to dazzle with his witty soneos playfully around he clave, Frankie proves he is not just a pretty voice, and is equally up to the task of going one-on-one with streetwise soneos.

Bobby Valentin is a stylisation of Bobby Valentín, also known as "El Rey del Bajo" (King of the Bass) (born June 9, 1941), is a musician and salsa bandleader.

Late in 1970 Bobby Valentín, another type 1 diabetic, hired Santiago as the lead singer of his band after Frankie Hernández left his group. Tito Valentín and Wito Morales produced the album. The recording had the hits "Al Revés" & "De Los Soneros". After that album, Santiago joined Tommy Olivencia's group for about a year and recorded tracks destined to appear on Olivencia's album "Sweat Trumpet Hot "Salsa"". Santiago last studio album with Valentín, "Donde Lo Dejamos", was released in 1992. By this release it was noticeable that Santiago's voice was starting to fade and becoming hoarse and raspy due to poor vocal coaching.

Bobby Valentino is the self-titled debut album from American R&B singer Bobby Valentino (now called Bobby V), released on April 26, 2005. The album was primarily produced and executive produced by the duo Tim & Bob and includes the singles "Slow Down", "Tell Me", and "My Angel (Never Leave You)". It debuted at on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 180,000 copies in the US and has since sold over 708,000 copies nationwide
