Harmonium, from Quebec, did just that. In November 1976 they released their final album, L'Heptade, clearly their most ambitious album and from a proghead's standpoint, their most progressive effort.

Live album, recorded in June 1977 in Vancouver by Radio-Canada. Made during the tour following the release of the L'Heptade album. By 1978 Harmonium was no more, Serge Fiori figured the band couldn't go any further than what they did on L'Heptade. In 1980 En Tournée was released. It was a live recording from 1977 in Vancouver. What they do here is perform L'Heptade in its entirety.

Harmonium En Tournée is a live album by Harmonium, consisting of a live performance of the studio album L'Heptade, recorded live in Vancouver, 1977. It was released in 1980 by Canadian Broadcasting Corporation/Société Radio-Canada's (SRC) music distribution arm, Les Disques SRC, and CBS Disques. After selling tens of thousands of copies, unauthorised by the band, CBS stopped distribution.

Released as a two-LP set in 1980, En Tournée documents Harmonium's tour of the West Coast in 1977. The band performs the entirety of L'Heptade, except for the orchestral prologue, bridges, and epilogue written by Neil Chotem and found on the studio version. This was the band's last tour, and by then the acoustic guitar folk trio featured on Harmonium had grown into a seven-piece progressive rock group. Harmonium was a Quebec progressive rock band formed in 1972 in Montreal. Lead vocalist and guitarist Serge Fiori met Michel Normandeau (vocals and guitar) in a theatre music meeting in November 1972. Later on, in 1973, they met bassist Louis Valois and formed Harmonium. In November 1973, the group performed their first air play on CHOM-FM. They played 3 tracks: "Pour un instant", "Un musicien parmi tant d'autres", and "Un refrain parmi tant d'autres".
