In the Rectory of the Bizarre Reverend is the debut album by Finnish doom metal band Reverend Bizarre. It was originally released in 2002. It was rereleased with a bonus CD titled Return to the Rectory in 2004. The album was released on vinyl by Finnish label Svart Records. The album title is a homage to King Crimson's 1969 album, In the Court of the Crimson King. All tracks written by Albert Witchfinder, except where noted; all lyrics written by Witchfinder, except "Sodoma Sunrise" by Peter Vicar.

However, despite doing little new, the quality of what they do play towers above that of most other doom. Everything that epitomises doom metal is present here: painfully slow tempos, down tuned guitars, heavy crushing riffs and extended song-lengths
