Scott was the début solo album by Scott Walker, originally released in the United Kingdom on Philips Records in 1967. The album received both strong commercial success as well as critical praise, hitting No. 3 on the UK Albums Chart. This album, alongside Scott 2, features Phil Spector's "Wall of Sound" recording technique, Scott 3 and Scott 4 however do not.

Формируйте собственную коллекцию записей Scott Walker. The first Scott Walker solo album is a strong showcase of the singer's musical vision. Past influences and future ambitions juxtapose brilliantly throughout the record, mixing his unique, deep crooning tradition with bizarre themes, from which the Brel translations and Walker's own compositions are plain extraordinary. The extreme contrasts of the songs' structures, a balance between chaotic themes and saccharin orchestrations, would become Walker's trademark during his late 60s' records

Scott Walker Scott: Scott Walker Sings Songs From His TV Series (Phillips, 1969). Years later, Walker blocked the CD re-release, yet he allowed through 1973’s second Walker album, Stretch (after Scott’s nickname), this time more of a solid track selection (songs by Newman, Jimmy Webb, Micky Newbury, Carole King and Gerry Goffin), but no less depressing, as Scott phoned it in. Next up was (irony alert) We Had It All, more bloody covers, but it’s Scott’s first outright country music record – four songs were written by Texan Billy Joe Shaver, and there’s room for The Eagles’ ‘What Ever Happened to Saturday Night?’. Or, whatever happened to Scott Walker? But in the right mood,.

Scott Walker (Noel Scott Engel, January 9, 1943 - March 22, 2019) was an American-born singer-songwriter, composer and record producer. He is noted for his distinctive baritone voice and for the unorthodox career path which has taken him from 1960s pop icon to 21st century avant-garde musician. Originally coming to fame in the mid-1960s singing orchestral pop ballads as the frontman of The Walker Brothers, Walker went on to a solo career balancing a light entertainment/MOR ballad approach with increasing artistic innovations in arrangement and writing perspective.

Tilt (Scott Walker album). Tilt is the twelfth studio album by the American solo artist Scott Walker. It was released on 8 May 1995 and reached number 27 on the UK albums chart. No singles were released from the album. It was Walker's first studio album in eleven years. Walker composed the songs for the album between 1991 and 1992 except "Manhattan", which was written in 1987, and the final song "Rosary", which was composed in 1993. The album was recorded at RAK Recording Studios and Townhouse Studios in the UK and its release had been expected as early as 1992 but was not completed until.

This is the Scott Walker of the late 1960s: As passionately invested in covers of Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra hits as in singing the word "gonorrhea"; voted "Mr. Valentine" by Disc & Music Echo the same year he released a song about a young man routinely raped by military officers. For fans that already own these albums, it's absurd. The recordings are, of course, "remastered," which I can discern only in fleeting moments.
