  • This is a must for fans of large, lush productions. Languid, sustained strings set up a nice setting for Garrie’s breathy melancholic delivery. The pop/rock instrumentation is also top notch, and the guitar parts will appeal to Big Jim Sullivan fans. A few might find the twee “Bungle’s Tours” & “Queen Of Queens” irritating and out of place. To my ears, they act as palate cleansers to the more serious selections and serve as a clear reminder of the spontaneity & fun so many crave from the recordings of that era.

  • Hailed as a masterpiece a while ago, in the wake of the rediscovery of people like Bill Fay and Marc Brierly, this LP doesn't really hold up in my opinion. There are a few good songs on here, but overall there is just too much bland pop and folky singer songwriter fare. There is no real psych here at all and It's rarity and obscurity probably account for it's reputation, which is way out of kilter with it's actual quality.
