Highway Song - Live' was originally issued in 1982 as a German import only and has been an extremely hard to find collectors item ever since. HIGHWAY SONG LIVE is a top-notch live album by Southern hard rockers Blackfoot. It was recorded in front of frenzied English and Scottish crowds, and it shows in the intensity of the band's performance. The crowds over there clearly appreciated Blackfoot's hard-charging Southern rock much more than did the Americans, who'd recently turned to AOR and heavy metal, in 1982. As a result, the band decided initially to only release the album overseas initially. It did get a CD release in the United States in 2002, although this remastered version is far better.
