Dead Serious is the debut studio album of American hip hop duo Das EFX, released April 7, 1992 on compact disc and audio cassette on East West Records and distributed through Atlantic Records. Recording sessions for the album took place at Firehouse Studios in Brooklyn, New York and at Charlie Marotta's North Shore Soundworks studio in Long Island, New York.

Their Debut album "Dead Serious" was released in early 1992, just about the time that Erick & Parrish went seperate ways. But this album was still Executive Produced by EPMD !!! The Beats and Production came courtesy of their Solid Scheme Crew. May 1994 saw the release of their best album (for my 2 cent -critics still loved the Debut more and "DEAD SERIOUS" sold more Gold certified in the year of it's release) : "STRAIT UP SEWASIDE". Perfection from start to fínish. A non stop Trip with a nice Intro - you can hear how DAS EFX leave the SEWA and their videos showed them as real people on their NY Hometurf (before that they were alwayz in remote areas, parking places, left buildings,Tunnels etc).
