Der gute Kamerad" ("The good Comrade"), also known by its incipit as Ich hatt' einen Kameraden ("I had a comrade") is a traditional lament of the German Armed Forces. The text was written by German poet Ludwig Uhland in 1809. Its immediate inspiration was the deployment of Badener troops against the Tyrolean Rebellion. In 1825, the composer Friedrich Silcher set it to music, based on the tune of a Swiss folk song.

We are composed of two members, Me (Jason) and Sean (spike 8bkp). Both of us being long time UG members who met and started composing and writing together in 2005. We are currently signed to Hydra, a Division of Redemption Films and Triple Silence. Though we are completely finished with our debut album (Kampfstoff LOST) we do not have a tentative release date, Expect Late 2007 and early 2008.

Ich Hatt' Einen Kameraden is a Martial Music band hailing from the United States. It was officially formed in 2006 between members Jason and Sean, with the addition of Amir in late 2007. Ich Hatt' Einen Kameraden is a mix of many different influences ranging from Classical to noise. A full album is expected to be released in 2008 with a 2nd album already in the works.
