Satan's Satyrs is an American band. Originally formed in 2009 in Virginia by the lead vocalist Clayton Burgess. The band's lineup as of 2016 included Burgess, Jarrett Nettnin, Stephen Fairfield and Nate Towle. Originally influenced by groups such as Electric Wizard and Black Flag, Burgress mailed a demo tape to Electric Wizard and recorded their first album Wild Beyond Belief, which began with Burgess performing all the instruments while still being attending high school.

Satan’s Satyrs have crafted something that sounds like it was recorded in the dankest and darkest basement in the world, left to soak and age like a fine bourbon, and unleashed upon the unsuspecting world once fully matured into the raging beast it is today. If you prefer your production to be clean and sparkly you’re going to be extremely out of your element, but for those of you lusting after a filthy basement scuzz in your metal, breathe deep and enjoy.

Wild Beyond Belief!' is Satan's Satyrs first album, when the band was essentially a one-man band. Clayton Burgess, under the alias Claythanas, did all the instruments and vocals, and considering he was some 18 or 19 years old, it's a great achievement under said circumstances. The production quality is very late 60s, early 70s demo-sounding. It compliments the very retro-sounding riffing well, as well as the shouted vocals, that are by no means good, as far as actual singing goes, but again, compliment the style. The music itself is good.

Wild Beyond Belief!’ Upon recovering from being steamrolled over by the onslaught of Satan’s Satyrs’ new album, The Lucky Ones you’ll likely wonder just what exactly it was that hit you. A punky, sleaze rock groove (perhaps even a whiff of 70s glam) meets NWOBHM melodicfury, Blue Cheer mass and volume, and Ozzy’s dramatic charisma condensed into a sound all its own, perhaps. Your sound changed quite a bit. Your first album sounds completely different than anything else. I was using a very simple set up to record, just an 8-track portastudio thing with two mics.
